The Friends of the Big Pine Library invite you to join their discussion of Silver Alert by Lee Smith on August 16th at 10am!

Aging Herb and his wife Susan's life in Key West is unraveling. Susan needs constant care, and Herb denies his health issues. The only bright spot is Renee, an optimistic manicurist who brings joy to Susan. When their children arrive for an intervention, Renee’s plans and her true identity as Dee Dee, fleeing a dark past, start to unravel too. Herb refuses to let go and takes one last joy ride in his Porsche with Dee Dee, leading to a Silver Alert. As Herb and Dee Dee's bond deepens, one life ends while another begins.
