Event Details
The Key West Maritime Historical Society invites you to join them and relive the glorious days of Transatlantic ocean travel on the magnificent ocean liners that raced each other across the Atlantic competing to be the fastest, most elegant and comfortable, and most fun. Compare their specifications and learn their history.
Presented by Professor Tom Perera, a retired professor of neuroscience and a historian. He first visited Key West in 1958 to sail and dive and was in Havana as Castro invaded. He and his wife Gretchen travel the world in search of adventure and give talks on their travels.
This event is free and open to the public. You do not need to be a member of the Key West Maritime Historical Society or have a Monroe County Public Library card to attend.
