FREE Plant Clinic

Got plant questions? We have answers! Come see the UF IFAS Extension Monroe County Master Gardeners at the Big Pine Library for a FREE Plant Clinic!

Plant Clinics are a free service offered by UF/IFAS Monroe County Master Gardeners. Our knowledgeable volunteers will be at the Big Pine Library every first Saturday of the month from 10:00am -1:00pm to assist with plant identification, disease diagnosis, insect identification/problems, proper plant care/maintenance, and other services related to diagnosing gardening and/or landscape problems. If possible, bring photos or physical samples to help our volunteers assist you. Plant samples should be stored in plastic bags and, if possible, collected on the same day as the plant clinic; otherwise, samples should be kept refrigerated. Insect samples should be placed in a jar or other suitable container. Collect more than one specimen if possible. Insects may be dead or alive. We hope to see you there!
