Secret codes have been useful throughout human history.  We will learn about code breaking from ancient Rome to World War II to modern day.  Then we will go on a code-breaking mission in the library.

The next program for Summer Reading has the Marine Lab visiting us on Thursday, July 10th at 10:30 AM.  They have a fun plankton program and activity for you to participate in.

The next program for Summer Reading has the Master Gardeners visiting us on Thursday, July 17th at 10:30AM.  They have a fun make your own seed bomb and then decorate your own flower pot craft for you to participate in.

The last program for Summer Reading has the Monroe County Sherriff's Animal Farm visiting us on Thursday, July 24th at 10:30AM.  Come meet the animals in the community room.

Join Do Art Productions at the Big Pine Library for a Comic Book workshop! Come and learn all the different "languages" of comics, from the eyes, to body posture, to the actual language within speech bubbles.
